Prospective Areas for Russian Export Expansion.
In the near future, a growth of the demand for outsourcing services and "cloud" technologies is forecasted, providing an opportunity for distant work on projects, which, given the large capacity of the British market will create a market niche for Russian ICT companies:
- aircraft electronics;
- aerospace technologies;
- information technologies;
- mobile communication;
- navigation aids;
- software;
- safety technologies;
- nuclear power engineering.
Existing trade barriers.
Anti-dumping measures are applied to the following commodities:
- ammonium nitrate;
- seamless pipes;
- silicon ferrum;
- welded nonalloy steel pipes;
- pipe fittings.
Ban on imports is imposed in relation to the following items:
- lynx and wolf furs;
- cat and dog furs.
Quota limitations (tacit quota regulation) exist in relation to:
- Nuclear cycle commodities;
- poultry and its derivatives;
Tariff quotas are set in relation to:
- soft medium and low protein wheat;
- barley.
Currently, Russia is included into the lists of third countries that can export specific types of animal products to the European Union:
- poultry;
- poultry products;
- eggs of domestic (agricultural) fowl except for chicken eggs;
- chicken eggs imported for subsequent processing only;
- ready-made meat products;
- processed stomachs, bladders and intestines from the Kaliningrad region.
Raw materials for these meat products shall originate from the EU member states or other countries having a permit for supply of beef and/or pork to the EU - ready-made meat products (thermally treated at a temperature of not lower than 80 °C) manufactured of pork, processed stomachs, bladders and intestines from the Kaliningrad region.
