Today many enterprises develop, expand their production capacity, reach new sale markets and at the same time implement technologies of careful production, think of ecology and environment.

One of such enterprises is OJSC “Hydrometallurg” – an enterprise producing tungstic acid anhydride and molybdenum concentrate located in Nalchik of Kabardino-Balkaria. The enterprise is incorporated into the Group of Companies “Wolfram” who has been dealt since 1997 in mining, processing and sale of metals - wolframite, molybdenum, rhenium, cobalt. “Hydrometallurg” has reliable reputation and stable standing both in the domestic and foreign markets. Eximbank of Russia signed a loan agreement with OJSC “Hydrometallurg” for the amount of RUB 150 million. Financing for 16 months will be provided within the framework of the credit product “Financing of current expenses under the export contract” which will support the enterprise in fulfillment of the agreement of supply of yellow and blue tungsten oxide for AVAS Trading Ltd. (London, Great Britain). Support by Eximbank of Russia is important for the enterprise because one of the company’s targets is increase of the export component of its business as well as creation of production of tungstic acid anhydride which is innovative for Russia. The new Russian enterprise will apply up-to-date technologies based on global production experience.

Tungstic acid anhydride W03, ammonium paratungstate (PVA) and molybdenum concentrate are used as raw materials for production of hard alloys and refractory metal products made wherefrom are used everywhere where resistance is necessary, for example, aircraft and rocket engineering to cover the surface of turbine blades, valves. They are also widely used in today’s X-ray engineering and radio electronics, paintwork and textile industry, mining and oil and gas industry, industry of timber materials and production of equipment for power plants and production of equipment operating in sea water including oil processing.

Such products are important not only for any specific business but for the country as a whole. OJSC “Hydrometallurg” does not simply produces global-level products, it has continuously improved the system of sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing of population, health protection and favorable environment. The main purpose of OJSC “Hydrometallurg” is to organize the enterprise’s operations in such a way to exclude pollution of environment in Nalchik of Kabardino-Balkaria which is one of the most popular resort cities in Russia. ← Back to stories list
