One of priority directions of the business of Eximbank of Russia is support of Russian producers reaching new sale markets. An example of implementation of this strategy is Machine Engineering Plant “Tonar” who signed in 2015 a facility agreement and the first trench in the amount of RUB 14 million was disbursed less than a week later.
LLC MEP “Tonar” is today the largest Russian producer of trailers and semi-trailers. The basis of the enterprise is the production complex in the village Gubino, Orekhovo-Zuyevsky district of the Moscow Region. The plant occupies the territory of 19.1 ha. The total area of premises is 44,944 square meters.
The plant employs over 700 persons.
The plant produces over a hundred of various models of trailers subdivided into 4 key directions:
- mainline trailers;
- agricultural machines;
- dump trucks and spare parts;
- special transport vehicles for bulk cargoes;
Quality of produced goods is on a par with the European quality, therefore equipment produced by LLC MEP “Tonar” is successfully sold not only in Russia but also abroad.
The geography of the plant covers over 200 dealers and representative offices in Russia.
Quality and capabilities of domestically produced machines may be now assessed not only by Russian consumers but also their foreign colleagues.
In the period of difficult economic situation in the domestic market of the Russian Federation the plant has increased its export potential.
All that enabled LLC MEP “Tonar” to raise from Eximbank of Russia a facility in the amount of RUB 200 million. Funds will be used to finance current expenses of the plant for export supplies. The plant has already entered a contract with German Mitra Europe Ltd. Dealing in supplies of trailers to countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Near East.
